Description
Learn the basics to plan, design, make, and install ceramic mosaics.
This introductory-level mosaic workshop will explore mosaic-making techniques and best practices for a variety of indoor and outdoor settings. Students will gain hands-on experience making sampler mosaics, in addition to exploring various mosaic-making techniques. The workshop will also discuss mosaic design, tools, and installation practices. Students can expect to finish a sampler mosaic, grout the mosaic, learn the basics to design their own mosaic, and make various templates for tile design.
$205 for two day workshop ( 7 hours)

Artist Bio
Originally from Dublin, Ireland, Regina Farrell-Fagan graduated from GMIT in 1995 with a National Diploma in Art and Design, studying painting and printmaking. Soon after she began her teaching career and also worked as a freelance illustrator and designer. She moved to the United States in 2002, and won a work/study scholarship at the Art Students League of New York, in 2005, concentrating on clay sculpture. At Lehman College (CUNY) she earned a BA in Studio Art, majoring in ceramics. She was awarded the Women’s Forum Fellowship in 2010, and the Brohmer Twins Award in 2011, and began exhibiting and selling her handbuilt works. She has worked on mosaics for many years including large-scale mosaic projects at Clay Art Center.
