Artists and community volunteers help make Clay Art Center events, classes, and day-to-day activities a succes. Without volunteers, many of our programs would not be possible!

Whether you’re an artist, an art-lover, or someone who just loves to give back, we can put your skills to work!

Opportunities

Here are the types of volunteer opportunities we occasionally offer:

  • CAC General Maintenance: Help keep our studios looking spick and span with outdoor and indoor beautification and classroom clean-up.

  • Facilities Fixer-upper: Help maintain our studio with skills in carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical, etc.

  • On and Off-site Special Events: We need volunteers to help make special events like our annual benefit, gallery openings, and pottery sales go off without a hitch during planning and on the day of the event

  • Studio space and Kiln Unloading: Help organize and maintain our studio spaces, unload and transport student work from kilns to shelves while learning about our equipment and facilities

  • Clay Volunteers: If you are a student or clay artist, volunteer to be a teacher’s assistant for a clay party, children’s class, community festival, community arts class, or open studio monitor. Or other clay projects to prepare for events and projects etc.

  • Fundraising: Assist in our fundraising events, annual appeal and other areas that help fund our organization

  • Website and IT: Provide support for our website, online store, or database so we can run more efficiently

  • Photography: Take photos of ceramic items for our online shop or at events and gallery openings

  • Graphic Design: Create flyers, brochures and graphics to help us promote all of our programs and events

  • PR and Marketing: Work with our team to raise awareness of CAC and everything we do

 

How to Apply

If you are interested in volunteering at Clay Art Center, and over the age of 16, fill out the Volunteer Interest Form. We will reach out to you with next steps.

Please be aware that we do not always have openings, but are happy to add you to our list of future volunteers! Thank you for your interest.
