Artist Statement

I am the sole potter working at Flying Plumtree Studio located in Northern Illinois. All work is personally handcrafted and high fired in either my Propane fueled kiln, or a community wood fired kiln. I trained as an apprentice in western Japan and brought back home to The United States a strong devotion to a simple straight forward aesthetic that lets the clay, glaze materials and the fire of the kiln speak with their voices.
