Second Annual Port Chester Arts Festival

Creative connections with our local community.

Since our founding in 1957, Port Chester has been our home. When the idea was suggested last year to initiate the Port Chester Arts Festival with our neighbor Neptune in June, we jumped at the opportunity. The first Port Chester Arts Festival brought out the community for a celebration of the arts throughout Port Chester.

On Saturday, June 1, we were excited to be the co-lead organizers once again for the 2nd Annual Port Chester Arts Festival. At Clay Art Center, we had raku firings, opportunities to try the potter’s wheel, kids’ art activities, studio and exhibition tours, and pottery for sale. Throughout Port Chester, visitors had the chance to try out different art forms, purchase art from local artists, watch performances, view exhibitions, and more. Festival goers who visited three or more spaces had the chance to be entered into a raffle for prizes from businesses throughout Port Chester.

Clay Art Center was buzzing with new and old friends, eager to connect with clay! The very young - and not so young - had the chance to try their hand at raku firing, sculpture, or the potter’s wheel. The weather was incredible and made the day extra special with beautiful blue skies under which we were able to come together through making, sharing, and experiencing art. Visitors to the gallery were also treated to artist studio tours and learned about our history, co-founders, and our mission. We can’t wait to do it again next year - bigger than ever!
