Fall Welcome from Executive Director Emily Peck
Welcoming fall with words from our Executive Director, and updates from our community.
As summer camp winds down, we are excited to welcome back all of our adult students who took a summer break for a new season of creativity and growth. If you haven’t yet registered for Fall classes, there are just a few seats left. With the changing of seasons, we are also busy planning for Hand in Hand on Saturday, October 19. Hand in Hand is not just a fundraiser; it’s a celebration of our community, our shared love for ceramics, and the powerful impact we can make together.
Hand in Hand promises to be a fun evening filled with creativity and connection. Whether you’re a long-time supporter or new to Clay Art Center, this is an opportunity to come together, celebrate the amazing work we’ve accomplished, and look forward to the exciting future ahead. Your presence and support at this event will directly benefit our vital operations and programs, enabling us to support our artist in residency program, scholarships, community arts, and enrich our community through the transformative power of clay. We hope you can join us!
See you in the Studio and at Hand in Hand!
Emily Peck
Executive Director
This week we bid adieu to long-time Clay Art Center Board Member Judith Weber, as she relocates from Westchester. Judith has been a Board Member at Clay Art Center for over 15 years, and was also an instructor in our classrooms for many years. Judith is a life-long advocate for the arts, serving in many capacities at other organizations including ArtsWestchester, and Pelham Art Center. As a production potter, her designs were reproduced for several companies, including her iconic Dragon Red Classic Tea Set for Teavana. Judith will continue to serve the arts in her new location of North Carolina.
Thank you Judith for all of your hard work and dedication to Clay Art Center, your vision, and for inspiring us all every day! Learn more about Judith Weber
Love has no labels! This past week we were delighted to partner with Blue Heart Forever Project, who are a support group for Latino families with children with autism or other special needs. They provide valuable information for navigating the special education programs at schools in Port Chester and beyond. We were able to offer this class for free as part of Clay Coming Together, which forms part of our Community Arts programs. Thank you for sharing your time with us and for helping raise awareness of autism and special needs children in our community!
