Prerequisite
Students must have taken at least 5 weekly clay sessions (each at least six weeks long) previously to be eligible for Independent Study AND be approved by the Program Management team. Students may be asked for prior studio and/or ceramic teacher references when applying for an Independent Study space.
Details
Independent Study is a monthly program with limited access, available by appointment only. Independent Study students must reserve time(s) for every visit.
Students in the Evening / Weekend program do not have personal shelf space, but may get a locker if there is availability.
There is limited space on the communal shelves for wet work.
Students are responsible for closing up the studio if they are the last ones in the studio.
Cone 6 glazes can be accessed via booking an Annex open studio up to twice a month.
There are no refunds for time that you are away from the studio so please plan accordingly when signing up for an Independent Study month.
During checkout, you will be asked to confirm you have read and agreed upon the conditions of our Student Class Policies. Agreement is required to attend any class at CAC.

Tuition is due in full at time of registration.
No refunds are issued for cancellations made within 7 days of the first day of the month
There are no refunds or pro-rating options for missed time.
Tuition does not include clay, tools or firing.
In the event of an emergency closing, the website home page will indicate whether classes and/or open studios are cancelled and if the offices are closed.
