Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service Volunteer Opportunities
On Monday, January 20th, honor the legacy and life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with acts of service in our local communities. If you are looking for ways to donate your time and efforts, our local community of Port Chester, NY has some opportunities for you.
The Sharing Shelf in Port Chester is inviting volunteers to help sort through donated clothing for its Community Sort Day. Volunteers will be trained how to sort through donated clothing at the Sharing Shelf clothing bank. This is a great opportunity to learn about the organization and its many other volunteer opportunities in the coming months. The Diaper Bank of Westchester encourages volunteers to bring a box of diapers and join them for a family-friendly afternoon of packaging diapers, which will then be distributed to families in need! Diapers sizes 5-6 and any size pullups are needed.
