The Clay Art Center Board of Directors is pleased to welcome Emily Peck as its new Executive Director. She succeeds Interim Executive Director Cora Greenberg. We wish to thank Cora for her exemplary stewardship during our transition.

“Emily’s unique experience at the intersection of nonprofit, business and the arts, will help build upon Clay Art Center’s six decades as a nationally recognized non-profit for the advancement and practice of ceramic arts, while strategically guiding us forward. We are thrilled to have Emily joining us and I have full confidence in the leadership she will provide as we continue to grow.” Carol Chevlowe, President, Board of Directors, Clay Art Center.

Ms. Peck was previously the Vice President of Private Sector Initiatives at Americans for the Arts where she provided research and resources to the arts, business and foundation communities to support them in forming stronger partnerships to advance the community. She joined the staff of Americans for the Arts in 2008 as part of the merger with the Business Committee for the Arts. She also has experience in arts education and merchandising from her tenure at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Ms. Peck graduated from Vassar College with a B.A. in art history and has a master’s degree in visual arts administration from New York University. She grew up in Rye, NY and attended the local public schools. She serves on the board of Community-Word Project which provides arts education to NYC public schools. Outside of work, she is a marathon runner and a potter.

“I am excited to join the Clay Art Center and be able to build upon the great legacy of the organization. I grew up in Westchester and took part in the many arts and cultural experiences in the community. This instilled in me a love of the arts that has continued to this day. I'm thrilled to be joining the dedicated staff and board to be able to share my passion for the arts and help further the mission of the Clay Art Center.” Emily Peck, New Executive Director, Clay Art Center.

Emily was happy to meet our donors and supporters at our Annual Benefit, Hand in Hand, on October 17th.
