Port Chester Middle School Students visit the Neuberger in Around the World in Clay
Port Chester Middle School students visit the Neuberger Museum this weekend as part of Clay Art Center’s “Around the World in Clay” program. During this year-long free after school program funded by the Common Sense Fund Port Chester Middle School students explore the transformational qualities of clay. While creating culturally relevant art works teens meet professional ceramic artists, tour ceramic art exhibits, and visit Clay Art Center’s artist studios. During the program teens also have the opportunity to travel to The Neuberger Museum of Art on the SUNY Purchase campus to explore the incredible collection and find inspiration from the relevant historical artworks.
The “Around the World in Clay” class is open to teens from Port Chester High school. To sign up for this free program contact Ariel Edwards at communtiyarts@clayartcneter.org or by phone at 914-937-2047 x 240.
