ARTIST STATEMENT

Zoey B Scheler is a ceramic artist working and living in Canon City, Colorado. Zoey makes one of a kind, small scale ceramic sculptures and functional vessels. Her current works are moments stopped in time, from jumbles of wild flowers to starry sunsets wrapping the surfaces of traditional pottery forms. They are dioramas celebrating the beauty and intricacies of her surroundings. Layers of extruded noodles with colorful flowers dancing on wires next to glitzy dots of white gold create a playful sense of balance.
