ARTIST STATEMENT

What interests me about cats is that they symbolize a complicated combination of qualities. Cats can be seen as independent, aloof, or even aggressive; at the same time they can be seen as playful, loving, and cuddly. These plates and bowls are a celebration of these complexities, with a hope that we recognize how “cat qualities” are inside each of us.
